Press Release Body: New Haven, CT - November 14, 2007.
This fall, Ivy Edge begins its tenth year of working with high school and college students to achieve their goals in the college and graduate school application process. The 2006/2007 admissions season found Ivy Edge working with more than 300 aspiring students, guiding them toward acceptance at their dream schools. The founder of Ivy Edge, Brian Ortiz, is proud to say that 100% of the clients served this season declared themselves happy with the process. Ivy Edge's clients are looking forward to continuing their education at the best schools in the U.S.
College and graduate school admissions have become exponentially more complicated for students as competition has grown and tuitions risen across the country. Many students aspire to be Ivy League graduates, but the fact is that only 13% of the students who apply to Ivy League undergraduate programs are admitted, according to the Independent Educational Consultants Association. That is one daunting statistic - but 98% of Ivy Edge's clients were admitted to one of their first three choices. A full 62% even got into their first choice school.
The early years of this decade were marked by a slow-down in applications to MBA programs, but that has turned around, and the number of people taking the GMATs has gone up by almost ten percent in the first half of 2007 alone. Inspired by their awareness of the salaries of graduates of the top MBA programs, more and more students are turning toward business programs to further their careers.
Gaining admissions to the best schools was never easy, but it gets harder every year. Ivy Edge is always available to assist those who are serious about their applications and willing to work hard to get into their dream school. Brian Ortiz's team of admissions consultants and editors will assist any student with their application, whether help is needed with just an essay or two, or if more complex application needs are to be addressed. High school students applying to college, as well as those looking toward a graduate degree at an MBA program, law school, medical school, or doctoral program, should contact Ivy Edge with their questions.
